The fashionable charity teddy-bear!

So cute, so fashionable and for such a great purpose, Pudsey, the BBC mascot bear for children in need has been redesigned by famous british designers for an internet auction.

The fashionable bears, one-of-a-kind, will be sold in the BBC Children in Need online auction and the money will be donated to disadvantaged children in the UK.

This time we won’t discuss about this Marketing approach of the British Fashion Houses and Designers  but let’s enjoy the creations and give the children our warmest smile and our love!

H&M hits again with a new collaboration!!

While waiting for the new collection Versace for H&M to be displayed in the stores worldwide, H&M announces a new collaboration with Trish Summerville, the costume designer of the The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo” movie.

Inspired by the film trilogy Millennium of Stieg Larsson and the personality of his heroe Lisbeth Salander, H&M asked the designer to create an exclusive collection for women.

The collection named “Dragon Tattoo” features T-Shirts and Jeans with an urban style and a dirty look.

It will be launched exclusively in Colette the November 28th and from December 14th in the Divided sector of 180 H&M stores worldwide!

What can we say? H&M knows how to deal with marketing issues regarding its collaborations!!

More than a lookbook! (Part 2)

Following my previous post about the new F/W 11-12 lookbook of the famous designer Christian Louboutin with the collaboration of the photographer Peter Lippmann, which was inspired by famous classic portrait paintings, I was curious to see the paintings and compare them with the photos of the lookbook.

Trully I was amazed…

I have created a collage with the two pictures. On the left you will see the pictures of Louboutin’s lookbook and on the right the real painting.

Take a look and I am waiting for your comments!

“Santa Dorotea” by Francisco de Zurbaran (1648)

“Elisabeth of Austria” by Francois Clouet (1571)

“Portrait of a Girl” by Jean Babtiste Camille Corot (1857)

“Mary Magdalene with oil lamp” by Georges de la Tour (1635)

“Marquise d’Antin” by Jean-Marc Nattier (1738)

“Portrait d’une Negresse” by Marie-Guillemine Benoist (1800)

“Arrangement in grey and white / Whistler’s Mother” by Whistler (1871)

Such inspirational work…

More than a lookbook! (Part 1)

The famous designer Christian Louboutin and the photographer Peter Lippmann worked together to present the new lookbook for the designer’s F/W 11-12 collection.

Inspired by famous classic portrait paintings they have presented an artistic lookbook that can be exhibited in art galleries and museums, not only in a fashion store.

If we consider the Marketing approach this is a campaign that noone will ever forget!

Let’s take a look on the pictures:

Helena Paparizou & Apostolos Mitropoulos

Apostolos Mitropoulos and Helena Paparizou worked together and created one of the first really fashionable video clips in Greece.

Apostolos, a fashion designer of the new generation of greek designers with his eccentric style and his muse Helena, one of the most famous greek pop singers, they collaborated for her new video clip of the song “Baby it’s over” which had been a great hit in greek and european radios from the first time it was presented.

Helena presented for the first time her new song during “MAD Walk” a show which combines Music & Fashion. During “MAD Walk”, we saw Helena singing “Baby it’s over” and a catwalk with Apostolos’ clothes.

Enjoy the new clip and a great song!

Celebrities in fashion

One of the most usual promotion and marketing tools in fashion is to use Celebrities for product endorsement and advertising campaigns.

With this action fashion companies achieve brand awareness and recognition through faces of great influence.

We have already seen actors, athletes, singers and other celebrities to act like real models in a photo shout.

Some of the advertising campaigns we saw in 2011 are listed below.

World’s most weird catwalks

Have you ever thought about a catwalk which length is 1500 miles?
Do you think that a catwalk can’t be frozen?
Are there any shocking bald models?
Which are the hottest models?

Watch below some of the most weird but also interesting catwalks that have ever been presented!

The collection of FENDI by Karl Langerfeld for SS2008 took place on the Great Wall of China. The total length of the catwalk was 1500 miles (2.400km)!

The coldest catwalk that was ever built was for the fashion show of CHANEL for AW 2010. A huge piece of ice was placed on the catwalk, while the models were walking in the water.

PATRICK MOHR presented his last collection for SS2011 in Berlin using the ugliest bald and beard models we have ever seen.

Is the AXE Deodorant the new fashion trend?

Is the new advertising campaign of AXE Deodorant the new fashion hit?

The beautiful angels falling from the sky are some of the most recognized european top models. Sara Sampaio from Prtugal, Betty Adewole and Frances Phillips from the UK, Josipa Jankovic and Magda Kleblanska.

“Even Angels will Fall” is AXE’s moto. Will the Fashion Industry “fall” in the name of AXE Excite?

What we can say for sure, is that this is one of the best campaigns of AXE.
