The fashionable charity teddy-bear!

So cute, so fashionable and for such a great purpose, Pudsey, the BBC mascot bear for children in need has been redesigned by famous british designers for an internet auction.

The fashionable bears, one-of-a-kind, will be sold in the BBC Children in Need online auction and the money will be donated to disadvantaged children in the UK.

This time we won’t discuss about this Marketing approach of the British Fashion Houses and Designers  but let’s enjoy the creations and give the children our warmest smile and our love!

H&M hits again with a new collaboration!!

While waiting for the new collection Versace for H&M to be displayed in the stores worldwide, H&M announces a new collaboration with Trish Summerville, the costume designer of the The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo” movie.

Inspired by the film trilogy Millennium of Stieg Larsson and the personality of his heroe Lisbeth Salander, H&M asked the designer to create an exclusive collection for women.

The collection named “Dragon Tattoo” features T-Shirts and Jeans with an urban style and a dirty look.

It will be launched exclusively in Colette the November 28th and from December 14th in the Divided sector of 180 H&M stores worldwide!

The Designers who took their clothes off…

Fashion Designers have always been working on how to dress people and creat new designs for clothes and accessories.

But the fashion industry had always been using a provocative way to promote and advertise the brands!

Nudity in fashion is used in advertisments really often. We have seen beautiful models being naked in front of the camera in order to promote fashion products and brands.

Except of models we have also seen naked Designers who took their clothes off to advertise their brands. We could say that these campaigns are so clever because people have seen them, discussed them and criticized them but most of all people remember them. And this is what counts in a campaign!

Let’s take a look on their naked pictures.

Yves Saint Laurent was captured naked by Jeanloup Sieff and the picture was used in 1971 for the campaign of YSL’s first eau de toilette “Pour Hommes”.

Marc Jacobs is a designer who really loves to show his naked body.
In 2008 Marc takes his clothes off to advertise the new Louis Vuitton bag, photographed by Terry Richardson.

In March 2010 he gets naked again to promote his new fragrance for men “BANG”.  The photographer who captured him now is Juergen Teller.

Vivienne Westwood posted naked on a couch in front of Juergen Teller’s camera. The pictures were not use for a campaign but surely there were discussed a lot! The designer has already said “Fashion is about eventually being naked“.

Tom Ford has also been naked in front of the camera of Steve Klein for W magazine.
That’s it for now…
We hope to see some more pictures from our beloved designers…

I am sure we will!!! 😉

Celebrities in fashion

One of the most usual promotion and marketing tools in fashion is to use Celebrities for product endorsement and advertising campaigns.

With this action fashion companies achieve brand awareness and recognition through faces of great influence.

We have already seen actors, athletes, singers and other celebrities to act like real models in a photo shout.

Some of the advertising campaigns we saw in 2011 are listed below.

Juliane Moore for TalbotsJulianne Moore for Talbots’ spring 2011 campaign lensed by Mert & Marcus

Rafael Nadal for Armani Jeans & Underwear

Megan Fox for Armani Jeans & UnderwearMegan Fox for Armani Jeans & Underwear

Monica Belucci and Dolce Gabbana in Martini Gold

Martini Gold by Dolce & Gabbana

Collaboration of two top italian brands!

MARTINI with DOLCE & GABBANA

created the new Martini GOLD.

The two brands insipired by the elegance, the taste and the italian aesthetics created a new bottle and a new Martini flavour.

In the advertising campaign, we see Monica Belucci, the italian diva, walking on the streets of Rome and a crowd of men following her!

The question is: Are the following her or the gold bottle in her bag?

A great moment in the advertising campaign, is when Monica meets the two designers in an italian bar and they drink Martini.

A high-fashion campaign and a high-fashion drink!

Enjoy it…
